Simon Says Challenge

Don't forget to enter my blog candy ! All you have to do is CLICK HERE !

Sorry for the delay in writing up my post this morning I had an urgent mission of some shopping to do after the school drop off this morning !

This week on Simon Says Challenge we want to see a taste of the Orient so the challenge this week is ORIENTAL.

The winner of this week's challenge will receive a $25 P&P free spending spree in the Simon Says Stamp Store.

The DP is DCWV Far East "Fire". I can't believe how far this one piece of 12x12 paper has gone ! I need to buy some more just in case another Oriental challenge comes up !!
The gold card is from my stash.

The image is a Simon Says Stamp Exclusive set called "Oh Happy Day Asian Flair" I have of course coloured them with ProMarkers. The dots on the girl's dress I have highlighted with a Prisma gold metallic pen which makes the dress look really pretty. The light I paper pieced and also highlighted this with the gold metallic pen. The text stamp was from this month's Craft Stamper magazine.

I made the paper beads myself from the same DP and then edged all the edges with the same gold pen. Wow, these look fantastic in real life and I shall definately make these again, they are so easy and look so good ! The rest of the beads and gold braid are from my stash.

I had so much fun making this card. It's not usually my cup of tea but the more I got into making it, the more fun I had and I love this card.

The rest of the DT have done an amazing job again this week. Please hop over and see them and leave them a comment or two. There is also some hidden candy on offer to on some of their blogs !

Looking forward to seeing your fabby creations. I do try and get round to see as many of your entries as I can and I'm so sorry if I don't reach you.

See you tomorrow for Colour Create !!!

I have also just this minute received my DT pack from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie ! My goodness, what a pack - full of such scrumptious goodies ! I can't wait to get started. I am "Miss September running into October" so I hope to show you something very, very soon.

Thank you for your visit and for any comments you leave - they mean the World !
