We took our bikes with us and went into Moors Valley Country Park on Saturday to join in a family cycling quiz. It was only when we were about half way round that my hubby decided to inform us that the quiz was in fact 4 miles long ! Boy, did I have a sore undercarriage !!!
At PaperPlay Challenges we have another challenge for you - ANYTHING BUT A CARD !
We are being sponsored by La-La-Lands Crafts.
As soon as I saw Scout Marci I just knew what I wanted to make. Being the bad Mum that I am, I have failed miserably in sewing Mollie's Brownie badges to her sash. In my defence, the sash is so stiff that I had terrible trouble sewing the ones on that I did and there is no material to "catch" the thread. Everyone else's sash is lovely and soft so we must have had a duff one !
Anyway, I made her a box to put her lovely badges in and she is thrilled to bits ! I am a good Mum after all !!!
The box has been recycled, it did hold tealights.
The DP's I used are American Crafts "Campy Trails" and I machine stitched all of these.
The image is Scout Marci from La-La-Land Crafts and she has been coloured with a mixture of ProMarkers and Copics.
The letters are all American Crafts Thickers which go with the Campy Trails papers and the pennants hanging from the branch is an American Crafts felt embellishment which also goes with this set.
The "stamps" and metal "journey" embellishment are by Making Memories and are from the "Panorama" set which has been in my stash for a while now.
We hope you can join us in our challenge this week.
I am entering my box into the following challenges -
Crafty Emma - Anything but Square
My Mum's Craft Shop - Something Old, Something New
Scrap Creations - Anything But a Card
Shopping Our Stash - Recycle Something (box)
Try It on Tuesday - Alter a Box
Stamps R Us - There was a little girl.....
