This week our challenge is

ANYTHING GOES !

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

The Design Team had a gift swap again this year.  We put our names in a hat and had to make/send a pressie for one of our teamies.  I had to make for Heather.

I found the tutorial for this gorgeous little basket on Pinterest.  I would give you a link to the tutorial and blog but unfortunately, her blog has been removed :(   If anyone is interested then I can try and remember how I made it and make my own tutorial !

The tag I made uses the stamp set from MFT called "Stitched Stockings"

I filled this basket with lots of little goodies and I hope Heather liked it !!

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week and look forward to seeing you.

Thank you so much for visit.  I hope you have a great and relaxing Boxing Day !

Simply Homemade Magazine Guest

Hello ! Only 4 more sleeps to go....well, that is if the World doesn't end today of course !!!

I was asked a few weeks ago if I would like to be a Guest for Simply Homemade Magazine in their take of the 12 Days of Christmas.  Of course, I leapt at the chance !

You can see all the other 11 Days of Christmas HERE made by other crafters, some of whom you may recognise.

I was asked for my take on "12 Drummers Drumming" and this is the result.

You can see the top better in these two photos

This is how I made the drum :

I started off with a snack container (shame I had to eat all the contents first !) and cut it in half with a hack saw.  I kept the bottom half and then put the lid on the top

Cut the paper to go around the snack container (I used BoBunny Snowfall 12x12 papers).  The strip of paper wasn't quite long enough to go all the way around so I had to have a join at the back of the drum which was later covered with the silver rope and pom pom embellishments.  I covered the top of the drum with a circular piece of Snowfall paper and it looked like this...

I then coloured my image which is by Whiff of Joy "Wee and Drum" with Copic pens and fussy cut it out.  This little chap was just perfect for this project.

The drumsticks were made with drinks stirrers !  I cut then down and then covered them very messily with some very tacky glue and then wound some garden twine around them until they were completely covered.  When they were dry, I inked them with some Vintage Photo Distress ink.

I loved making this drum and it has pride of place amongst my Christmas decorations and I hope it will do for years to come !

I was like to say a big thank you to Simply Homemade Magazine for asking me to take part in their 12 Days of Christmas and also to Katharina of Whiff of Joy for getting my order to me sooo quickly !

Thank you so much for your visit and I look forward to seeing you again soon !

Have a great day !

Simon Says....Mollie's Card !

Good morning ! Another wet and yukky one :(

Well, I have a very busy day ahead of me so I will make this post quick !

Mollie was at home with me on Monday as she wasn't well. I was making my DT card for this week's Simon Says Challenge and she wanted to join me in some colouring and ended up making this card. I said I would enter it for her in this week's challenge.

The theme of this week's challenge is Merry Christmas.

The DP's she used are *sharp intake of breath* Simple Stories "Handmade Holiday".  She added some Stickles to the snowflakes and the sentiment so it all looks very sparkly in real life.

The image is from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set "Gnome for the Holidays" and she coloured it with *another sharp intake of breath* Copics !!

I would just like to add that until tomorrow, this fabby set of stamps is HALF PRICE !!

Thankfully Mollie is now better and back to school where they are having party after party this week !

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a great day !

This week our challenge is

Merry Christmas !

Anything Christmassy !

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

The Design Team are this week showcasing Simon Says Stamp Exclusives.  Have you seen the range of stamps and dies ?  Wow, they are fantastic and the DT have this week done themselves proud to give you and array of different inspirations using them.

I have put a list of all the goodies I used on my card below with links to them.

I machine stitched the card in gold metallic thread, I do love this effect !

I heat embossed the sentiment with "gold" embossing powder which I found in my stash.  It doesn't look very gold to me !!

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week and look forward to seeing you.

Thank you so much for visit.  I hope you have a great Wednesday !

Mini Christmas Album

Good morning !  Well, only 7 more sleeps til Christmas !  Are we getting excited and more importantly, are we ready for it ?!!!    I think I am nearly there and both girls are going to pop with excitement any day now I reckon !!

I've been trying this year to make something just a little bit different to Christmas cards.  Mollie and I bought a Kaisercraft Advent Calendar from the NEC this year and we have been working on that together.  It is all finished apart from the last few finishing touches and I was waiting to get hold of some Tim Holtz trees and mica flakes.  I'm hoping to be able to finish it off completely this week and share it before Christmas comes and goes !!

I also bought some large chipboard shapes from the NEC with the idea of making a mini album and using them as templates for other projects.  I just loved these huge baubles when I saw them so made this mini album.

Here are all the pages to the album :

I left some room for mini photos and for some journalling to be added !

The papers are just gorgeous and I love them.  I think I have nearly used the whole pad on various bits and pieces.  It is Simple Stories "Handmade Holiday".  A lot of the mini tag/journalling pieces came from this pad too along with some borders.  I love the way they include these in the 6x6 pads.

I've listed most of the other embellies I used below.

Some of the other bits and pieces I found in my stash !

Thank you so much for your visit.

I hope you have a great day and look forward to seeing you back tomorrow when its time to announce the next challenge over at Simon Says Challenge !

Take care !
