The image is an MFT Pure Innocence stamp called "Hello Cupcake". She has been coloured with a mixture of Copics and ProMarkers and I paper pieced her dress.

The bingo card is by Jenni Bowlin and so are the little letters.

I also used nestabilities, circles and scallop circles

Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch

Hi everyone ! Hope you are all OK and had a lovely Easter weekend. Well, the kids are back to school and back to the usual routine still, only for 3 days this week !

It's also time again for Papertake Weekly and I'm pleased to say I am playing along again this time after having a couple of weeks off due to going away on my hols. This week, we have one of Dawny's fabulous sketches for you to play along with.

The DP's are Crate Paper "Pink Plum Collection". I have had these for ages and I'm trying to use up some of my paper mountain !!

The image is another Tickled Pink digi (although you can also buy it in rubber form). She is from the new range of "Pinkettes" and is called "Pippa". She has been coloured with a mix of Copics and ProMarkers. The sentiment at the bottom is from a set of Amy R Stamps called "Handy Additions".

The butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Mollie also decided to play along too and made her own card following Dawny's sketch.

Mollie has used the same Crate Paper DP's and the image is again a Tickled Pink digi called "Pinkettes Faith". She has been coloured with a mixture of *deep breath and hold* Copics and ProMarkers ! She stamped her own lettering on the banner too !

The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts.

We are both entering the challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps with the theme "Spring" with our cards.

Tickled Pink !

I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the glorious sunshine. We had lots of fun yesterday with egg hunts around the garden and eating chocolate until it came out of our ears (well, the girls did anyway !!). Poor hubs was working most of the day but was ambushed as soon as he walked through the door to set up the egg hunts !!

I had a play yesterday afternoon with some Tickled Pink ! Kellie is running a Guest DT call over at the Tickled Pink Challenge Blog and so I thought I would throw my name into the hat !! I'm just loving these stamps and digi's, they are sooo quirky !!

The DP's are from a paper stack I picked up at the NEC and its by Panduro Hobby "Tilda". These papers are just gorgeous, all silver grey and pinks, perfect for a wedding card (or birthday card !!). There is a sheet of sentiments, labels and borders in the pack so the sentiment has been cut out and so has the tiny rose scallop border on the right hand side.

The image is a Ticked Pink digi called "Lil Birthday Kellita". Kellie sells the rubber stamps as digi's once a month for about a week so you have to be quick otherwise you can buy the rubber version anytime ! She has been coloured with a mixture of Copics and Promarkers.

The flowers are a mixture of that gorgeous Bo Bunny rose and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I loved making this card and the colours are just gorgeous in real life. Its the sort of card I feel like I want to keep and not give away !!!

Can't believe its back to school tomorrow :o( Still, 3 more days and they will be off again for another long weekend. We are looking forward to the wedding celebrations and have the bunting and flags ready rofl !!!

Simon Says Challenge - Special Children's Challenge

Oooh just touched into afternoon so good afternoon ! Are you all enjoying the sunshine ? Trouble is, you get in such a mess trying to each choccie in the sun !!

I'm still hobbling around although I am getting a lot better and have abandoned the crutches. My bruise is a whopper and if it didn't ache so much, I would be proud of it !! My PC has also been fixed and the engineer changed the modem and router and touch wood, its been OK since so things are looking up finally.

I don't know what I would have done without the girls this week, they have been so helpful fetching and carrying and have found things to do to occupy themselves one of them being making cards. Izzy has been colouring in more stamped images and Mollie has been making cards.

The Special Children's Challenge over at Simon Says Challenge is still running so there is still plenty of time to get your children crafting !

Simon Says Challenge - Emboss It !

Good morning ! What a lovely one it is too and looks like it is going to be another scorcher ! Unfortunately for me, I am stuck in the lounge, on the sofa with my feet up as I lost my footing on Monday morning and have very badly twisted my ankle (I hope !). I am now hobbling around on crutches and having to crawl up the stairs ! Apart from the swelling and it now looking very black with bruise it doesn't seem to have got any worse so I am hoping and praying it is just sprained. Whey they can't just x-ray it at the time is beyond me but there you go. They said the pain was "too general" and wait and see what happens !

It's Wednesday and that means another challenge from us lovely girlies at Simon Says Challenge ! We are really pleased to announce too that Marcea has come back to join us - whooo hooo ! Welcome back !

Don't forget that there is also the children's challenge that is still running and you can find that HERE !

Our challenge this week is EMBOSS IT ! so we want to see some embossing on your project. The Design Team are featuring Belles and Whistles Stamps this week. You don't have to use them but we would love to see them if you have any.

The DP's are DCWV "The Linen Closet". I just love these papers as some of them are all glittery and embossed and such gorgeous colours too. The photo really doesn't do these papers justice.

I used a Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop punch for the edges.

The Belles and Whistles stamp I used is called Beary Big Hugs - I just love this stamp ! She has been coloured with a mixture of Copics and ProMarkers.

The flowers are a mixture of ones from my stash and a gorgeous fabric rose I cut from a Bo Bunny border trim of them.

Now I will confess to forgetting about the embossing part of this card (blame it on the pain !) so I punched some leaves and embossed them with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The papers I suppose can be classed as embossed to with the raised pattern on them.

The sentiment ticket is by Hero Arts and is called "Fair and Gems"

Simon Says Challenge - Special Children's Challenge

Good morning ! I am very sorry for the lateness of this post. I have been away on my hols all week in Dorset and had the most fantastic time. I really, really didn't want to come home ! When we returned home yesterday the computer decided to throw a wobbler and now we have intermittent internet connection so I'm going to try and be quick ! An engineer is coming out on Wednesday so hopefully it will be sorted out.

Anyway, Simon Says Challenge has a special challenge which started on Saturday and will run until Saturday 30th April, (6pm CET) (5pm UK time) for all our children to be creative over the Easter holidays. The challenge is open to children aged between 2 and 16 years of age.

The lucky winner will win a $50 shopping spree in the Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

This first card was made by Mollie who is 9. She made it for Izzy's Birthday. She even made her own patterned paper with the cupcake stamp - clever girl !!

Mollie also decorated the inside of the card.

Mollie also made this little card copying one I had made earlier. I think she has done a brilliant job and her colouring is just brilliant ! The papers are a mix from my scraps box, Graphic 45 and BasicGrey (I think !!).

Izzy (who was aged 3 at the time !) wanted to have a go at stamping and colouring so she stamped out this Magnolia Tilda and coloured her. She was a bit heavy handed with the facial colouring ! She wanted to name her Tilda "Michelle" !

BasicGrey Challenges - More Than One Fold !

Good morning ! What a wet and miserable one it is too, just right for a day locked away in the craft room !!

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our challenge of using something recycled, it great to see many entries and such fabulous projects.

This time, our challenge is MORE THAN ONE FOLD.

Now, I really didn't think I was going to get anything done for this challenge, time was not on my side (when is it ?!!) and when I saw inspiration for this post-it note cover in Craft Stamper magazine, I knew it was just perfect as it fits the challenge and was quick and easy to make and I actually rather like it. What a lovely quick pressie for someone to put on their desk/craft table or for work ?

The DP's are BasicGrey "Curio", aren't they gorgeous ? This is the first time I've been brave enough to use them !

The image is a digi by Tickled Pink called "Lil Fashionette - 20's Evie". You need to be quick as I don't think Kellie is going to be selling these as digi's for much longer. If you miss the opportunity to buy them as digi's you can of course buy them in rubba !! She has of course been coloured with a mixture of ProMarkers and Copics.

The lace is from my stash. The letters are little alphabet stickers I bought from the NEC last year. The "bling" is some Prima "Say it in pearls"
