Crafts Beautiful July Bookmark Swap
The theme for this month's bookmark swap was "Fashion". Just like the ATC swap I had complete crafters block. I managed to find a template for a dress and some lovely handmade paper with pink stitching in it I had bought from Lakeland and decorated it with pink sequins I found in my stash and Stickles.
Crafts Beautiful July ATC Swap
The theme for this month's swap was Birds or Song Titles. I have no idea why but I had complete crafters block for both of these themes ! Anyway, I had just bought the latest Papermania paper pad called "Sweet Nothings" and inside was a lovely paper with little birds on it and so I decided to use that. I found the feathers in Ski's craft box (I am sure she won't mind me using them !). I thought they looked good when I finished, plain and simple but definately not my best work - sorry.

ABC Challenge - C is for Charms
Wow, where has the time gone ? I have been really busy crafting this week but unfortunately I'm not able to show any of it yet (it would spoil some surprises !!). Today I decided to do something different and enter one of the challenges. My inspiration for the layout of my card came from a sketch on Ismaki.
This is my card for the ABC Challenge and this week the letter is C and the theme is "Charms".
I used to make this card :
Laura Ashley Contemporary patterned papers.
Swinging Tilda and her swing coloured with watercolour pencils
Flowers from Poppicrafts
Butterfly charm from Bijoux Beads
Sentiment made using Studio G alphabet stamps and Colorbox fluid chalks

One of my dreams has come true !
I am now the very proud owner of a hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamp ! Quite out of the blue I received an email from a crafty friend saying that she had been given a list of them and would I like to have a look and possibly buy one. Well, of course I couldn't refuse - could I ? All those lovely stamps in need of a home, how could I possibly refuse ! I think I managed to purchase the very last one, they sold like hot cakes (as you can imagine).
I had the perfect opportunity to use my new stamp (as if I needed to have an opportunity !) when the Crafts Beautiful July Card Swap theme had been decided as a floral, thank you card. This is the card I made and sent to Jintz on the Crafts Beautiful Forum.
What I used to make my card ....
My new Hanglar and Stanglar stamp !
Cream pearlescent card from The Papermillshop
Patterned paper is "Spring Breeze" downloaded from Shabby Princess
Flowers are from Joanna Sheen and have a sprinkling of Stickles on them.
I hope Jintz liked her card.
You must check out the Hanglar and Stanglar Blog - it is truly amazing !

Pretty Little Girl
I received this image in the Crafts Beautiful image swap and it was kindly given to me by Jules (Devonbunny). It made the perfect card for Ski's friend's birthday tomorrow.
This card was made with :
Papermania "Sweet Nothings" paper pack
Ribbon from Poppicrafts
Sentiment made on my computer
Flower from Joanna Sheen
By the way, my OH loved his card. He said it made a big change from the usual male cards of boats, beer, women (he should be so lucky !) and gardening !

My OH's Birthday Card
I have been so busy over the past few days making loads of birthday cards, ATC's, a bookmark, a card for the Crafts Beautiful swaps that I had almost forgotten my OH's birthday which is tomorrow ! In all honesty, I had no inspiration for his card at all that was until my new stamps arrived from Texas this morning ! I ordered the Hero Arts Decorative Birds set, the Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Hello Birdie and Hero Arts Trees, Birds and Messages and Hero Arts Sweet Bird all for about £17 which included the P&P. They took exactly a week to get to me. I was so impressed.
This is what I created for him. I do hope he likes it. I was put off somewhat when Ski said "Oh Mum, its so old days !" How does she know ? She's only 6 !
I used to make this card :
Hero Arts stamps as listed above (not all of them though !) and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment
Basic Grey Two Scoops paper
Scraps of paper for the squirrel and birds
Maya Road ribbon "Laughter"
Watercolour pencils and Tim Holtz "Faded Jeans" distress ink for painting.
Brads are Papermania.

WoooHoooo The Magnolia Stamp Club is here !
Here I go, another day of leaping around the room ! A couple of months ago I discovered the "Magnolia Stamp Club", heard it was terrific and decided to give it a try seeing as I buy so many of their stamps ! They arrived today and here they are......
The stamps are a lot cheaper bought this way (around £24 including P&P) but they do arrive unmounted and so you need to purchase EZ mount to mount them on yourself. This is about £3.75 for an A4 sheet. You will receive around 12-15 stamps with at least 6 or 7 of them being Tilda/Edwin and the rest props. Give it a try, you won't regret it ! The Fall Stamp Club is available to order now.
Aren't they just fabulous ! I can't wait to have a play with them.
The Stamp Club can be purchased in a one off payment when you will receive all four sets throughout the year or you can buy all four sets separately. You order these in advance but payment is not taken from your credit card until they are ready for shipping.

Oh wow ! I have won a competition !!

Cheers !
I have a string of male birthdays coming up so I had to put my thinking cap on ! I received this image of "Tyroler Edwin" in an image swap we had on the Crafts Beautiful forum so it was ideal.
I used to make this card :
Dark red card from The Papermillshop
Papers, lettering, corners and buttons are from Daisie Company "Smells like Autumn"
Brads are from my stash
I inked the edges using Tim Holtz distress inks and I also painted Edwin using them too (something I had seen demonstrated on a blog I came across). I thought it was quite effective and also matched in with the colour theme very well.
