Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch

I hope you all had a great Bank Holiday weekend.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our challenge last week over at Papertake Weekly. Your projects were just gorgeous, all pale and very pretty.

This week we have another fabulous sketch by our very own Dawny and we all know she makes the best sketches !

We are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp this week and the lucky winner will win a voucher for their store !

The DP's are Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" and they have had a good distressing all round ! I also ran around the edges of the paper with a gold metallic pen - just love this effect in distressing !

The image is by Some Odd Girl and is called "Smell the Flowers". This is a digi stamp but rubber versions are now available here. I didn't want to use the whole image for a change so I cut it down and rounded the corners with a corner punch. I didn't actually cut much of the image off but I thought it made it look a bit different. She has been coloured with Copics and ProMarkers.

The lace is from my stash.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I also used the new Magnolia Doo-Hickey die called "Heart Swirl"

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week. The rest of the DT have made some gorgeous cards for you again this week for your inspiration.

Thank you for your visit and gave a great week and enjoy the holidays with the kiddos !

The lucky winner will receive a £10 gift voucher from Bunny Zoe Crafts !

The rest of the DT have made some amazing cards for your inspiration this week - go check them out !

I just loved making this card and tried to get over my fear of Websters Pages !! I also need some more practise with hair colouring but overall, I love it !

The DP's as I said are Websters Pages and the little "Happy Day" journalling card behind the image is also Websters Pages. I bought these ages ago at the NEC and only opened the box to make this card !

The image is a Tickled Pink digi image - Lil Lolita Kellita which I made larger and cut out with my nesties (that's the great thing about digi's you can make them as big or small as you like !). This image also comes in rubber form too. Kellita has been coloured with Copics

The doily and gem flourish are from my stash. I sprayed the doily with marshmallow glimmer mist for some added sparkle.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added some diamond stickles to their petals.

The sentiment ticket is a digi download too from Bizzy Becs Store.

We hope you can join us this week in our challenge - also a good opportunity to be able to combine challenges this week too **wink, wink** !!

I was hoping to be able to join in with Tickled Pink Challenges theme of "Vintage Colours" but I see the collection is closed so I'm too late :( Never mind

Edited to say : Tickled Pink Challenges now has a "Distressing" challenge so I am going to enter that with my card !!

Have a great day and thank's for your visit.

Izzy is fine and her arm looks nasty but thank goodness its not broken. Details of the card I made have now been added to my post in case you are interested.

This week at Papertake Weekly, our challenge is "Bloom and Grow" and its a double whammy challenge too because you can either use something floral on your project or use a Molly Bloom image like the DT have done or you can always do both !!

BasicGrey Challenges - Mix & Match

Welcome to another BasicGrey Challenges.

I am running very late today due to the fact that Blogger has not been behaving itself and I've been running the girls around this morning for dancing and also a trip to A&E because we thought Izzy had broken her arm falling over this morning - what a nightmare.

Anyway, I am in a rush now because I'm due to be going out and everyone is sat waiting for me *blush*

We are having a challenge of mix and match this fortnight so mix and match Basic Grey products together. The DT have done an amazing job on their cards this fortnight and such an amazing inspiration to us all.

The flowers are a mixture of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. I think the lace also came from Wild Orchid Crafts too.

The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.

I also stitched all the papers with my sewing machine.

Sorry I did not get back to you - I had a very busy weekend in the end !

Firstly we would all like to offer our deepest sympathy for all those who have been hit by the devastating tornados that hit several states of South America with many people losing their lives. The lucky winner will win a $50 shopping spree in the Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes !

I hope you all had a fabulous BH weekend. We went away again in our caravan to Wareham Forest and met up with some lovely friends of ours. We had a terrific time and really enjoyed celebrating the Royal Wedding on Friday with lots of bunting, flags, hats and a BBQ ! The kids had a great time too !!!

Here we are, back to the routine of going back to work/school etc. but it is only 24 days until the kids break up again for another week off (yes, I am counting down the days !!!).

To break us all in gently, we are having a very simple challenge over at Papertake Weekly for you. ANYTHING GOES ! with the optional extra of including "circles" in your design.

We are pleased to announce we have a new teamie too. Please welcome Andrea ! Welcome to the team Andrea - lovely to have you on board !!

We are being sponsored by Lili of the Valley with a £10 gift voucher for the lucky winner !

The DP's are Jack and Jill by Prima. In hindsight I should have layered this card more as the doily circle is completely lost on this patterned paper. Oh well, we live and learn !! The doily is an MFT Die-Namics die.

The image is of course by Lili of the Valley and has been coloured with a mix of ProMarkers and Copics.

The roses are the MFT Rolled Rose die and the centres are from my stash. I'm really pleased with how these worked out this time round. I had terrible trouble trying to roll them the last time and I thought they looked awful. This time I wound the paper round a large children's paint brush and it worked out much better - see what I mean about living and learning ?!!!!

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week. Our Guest DT's Ula and Meera have some amazing cards to show you this week as does the rest of the DT over at Papertake Weekly.
