BasicGrey Challenges - Anything Goes

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our Sparkle Challenge last week. We had lots of lovely sparkly entries to look at ! 

This week our challenge is ANYTHING GOES ! 

 Just remember you do need to use at least one BasicGrey product to be able to win our prize of a $25 spending spree in the Simon Says Stamp Store !!

The papers I used are BasicGrey "Nordic Holiday"

The stamp is by Whimsy Stamps as is the Wish List.  I just adore these stamps, especially Santa !  He has been coloured with Copics.

The sentiments are both by Waltzingmouse Stamps.  "Be Jolly" has been heat embossed on an ornament die cut by MFT.

Simon Says Challenge - Autumn Leaves

Good afternoon and welcome to another Simon Says Challenge ! Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our Joy's Inspiration challenge last week and also to everyone who commented on my post !  It is always so lovely to hear from you all !\

I'm late posting today as I've been up to my eyes in decorating.  Mollie is away this week on a school residential trip and so we have taken the opportunity to decorate her room.  I think I may end up moving in there as its looking fantastic !  The colour scheme is white, hot pink, teal and lime green.  Believe me, it looks super !

Anyway, onto this week's challenge.

This week our challenge is AUTUMN LEAVES

I made my own background paper using a text stamp from my stash and Lawn Fawn "Harvest Season" clear stamps

The inks I used are the little Versamagic Dew Drops

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called "Hugs 'n' Heart

The leaves are the same ones I used on my card a couple of challenges ago and are old ones from Prima.

Simon Says Challenge - Joy's Inspiration Board

Good afternoon and welcome to another Simon Says Challenge ! Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our Dies and/or Punches challenge last week and also to everyone who commented on my post.  The winner's will be revealed shortly on the Simon Says Challenge Blog !

A list of everything I used can be seen below.  I just loved making this card.  I do love to make Halloween cards but unfortunately, I never use them !

The brads started off as white brads, I just coloured them with an orange Copic pen.

BasicGrey Challenges - Sparkle

Whoops ! I've done it again ! So sorry I am late with my BasicGrey Challenges card ! I spent all day yesterday listing numerous items on E-bay is its free listings weekend and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening trying to tidy up my craft room as it was more of a tip than usual. You can now walk through the door without falling over everything which is a major achievement !

I have also opened an Etsy Shop !  There is a link to it in my sidebar.  I'm crossing my fingers its successful as I have oodles of cards just sitting in boxes which seem such a shame.

Anyway, this week's challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges is SPARKLE.

Don't forget that you do need to use at least one BasicGrey product on your creation to qualify for our prize which is.....

and of course that all important "artistic view" !!

The papers I used are some old BasicGrey ones I found in my 12x12 papers stash.  These are called "Fruitcake" "Pine Branch/Avalanche"

The snowflake was cut with my poor redundant Cricut and I added some Stickles.

The letters were cut from chipboard with a Sizzix die.  I then covered the letters with silver gilding flakes.

The bells and silver twine are from my stash.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Dies,  Absolutely Edge Stamp and Die Set.  I heat embossed the "Awesome" with white embossing powder

The DP's I used are Simple Stories "Awesome"

I die cut the stars using Nestabilities Stars and heat embossed the edges with white embossing powder.

The buttons are from my stash and the twine is by My Mind's Eye.

Simon Says Challenge - Glimmer and Sparkle

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our Anything Goes challenge last week. It was so great to see you all playing along with us. 

 

This week our challenge is

GLIMMER AND SPARKLE !


This week the DT are showcasing Lindy's Stamp Gang products.  As always, if you have any of these to use we would love to see them but you can still join us if not !

We have an extra prize this week !  The lovely people over at Lindy's Stamp Gang will also be giving a lucky winner this fabulous parcel of Halloween products !




As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

The DP's I used are BoBunny Apple Cider Collection.  These are gorgeous papers, so rich in colour.  I  machine stitched around the outside edge with some gold metallic thread.

The ornate frame is by Kaisercraft.  I used the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst "Cocoa Bean Copper" and Moon Shadow "Van Dyke Sepia" Mists on both the ornate frame and the crown.  I also very lightly dabbed a Versamark stamp pad over the frame and crown and added some copper embossing powder for more texture and shine.  I ran a Krylon gold leafing pen around the outside edge of the crown and smudged it with my finger.  I was a right mess by the time I had finished misting, embossing and smudging but it was great fun !

The picture inside the frame was from a sheet of October Afternoon "Farmhouse".  I added some colour to the flowers with Copics.   I aged with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I used a doily die and cut another piece of October Afternoon "Farmhouse" paper from it and aged with Vintage Photo distress ink.

The sentiment and card behind the frame are from my stash.

The leaves and butterflies are also from my stash.  They are made by Prima.  I bought them a long time   ago, and so unfortunately I think they have been discontinued, from Simon Says Stamp.   I've never managed to find the courage to use them until now !!  They sell some very similar leaves and butterflies so I am sure you could make up your own version !

The crown is by Maya Road.  I added some red pearls.
