Simon Says Challenge - Anything Goes

Good afternoon ! I hope you are all well and had a great weekend ?

Hopefully while you are reading this I am out Christmas shopping !  I've managed to pick up a few things over the last few weeks but I'm hoping to get it all done and dusted today !

Well, it's Wednesday and that can only mean one thing...... it is that time again for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who joined in last week with our sketch challenge.  We had lots of super entries.

This week our challenge is 

ANYTHING GOES !

The Design Team are this week showcasing Martha Stewart products.  I am sure you all know the drill by now about showcasing, we would love to see you use any Martha Stewart products if you have any but, its not compulsory for this challenge !

Yet again I am sorry for the terrible photo.  It has been so dark here recently and terrible for taking photos.

The DP's I used are Bo Bunny "Mistletoe"

The Christmas tree is a Dee's Distinctively die called "Christmas Stacker Tree".  I used some sticky foam adhesive squares on each layer to make it 3D.  I added some pearls and then a gold star on the top

The Martha Stewart punches I used are Arctic Snowflake and Snowflake Trim punched from silver mirror card.

The sentiment is an MFT stamp set called "Document It December" stamped onto an MFT die cut from the set "Flags and Tags"

BasicGrey Challenges - Tag for your Christmas Presents

Whooo hooo its the weekend ! Not that it actually makes too much difference to me but its still nice to have that weekend feeling and having the girls at home for a couple of days.

It does also mean that it is time again for another challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges.

Christmas will soon be upon us and I know a lot of you are beavering away making your Christmas cards and hopefully some tags to go on all those lovely presents !  So, our challenge this fortnight is to show us all your TAGS !!

The cutie stamps I used are some I have wanted to get my hands on for a very long time, "hohoho" by There She Goes Stamps.  I have coloured them with Copics and added some sparkles to Santa's suit and some glossy accents to Rudolph's shiny red nose !

It's as black as night here and pouring with rain.  I don't think its stopped for the last 2 days and there are reports of flooding all over the place :(

I am sorry for the terrible photo.  As I said, the weather is awful and even with my light tent, the pictures I am taking are just terrible :(

The sentiment is from a new MFT set called "Document It December" and I have stamped it with Festive Berries distress ink onto a MFT fishtail die cut

The holly has been cut from a Memory Box die called "Holly Vine" and I have added some red pearls

The snowflake is a Maya Road chipboard snowflake which I heat embossed in glittery white embossing powder.  Silver jingle bells added with some twine

Good afternoon ! I hope you are all well and had a great weekend ? I know I'm always saying it but I can't believe it's Wednesday again already !! 

 I had a super time at the NEC on Saturday and met up with lots of lovely blogging buddies and spent far to much money on lots of yummy goodies. I also picked up some inspiration for a couple of new projects which I have made a start on and hope to be able to blog over the coming weeks.

BasicGrey Challenges - The Three S's !!

Good morning ! I am hoping this has published as I'm either on my way or at the NEC ! I'm so excited to be going again and meeting up with lots of blogging buddies and spending lots of pennies !!

This week our challenge is "THE THREE S's" (stitching, swirls and scallops)

The papers I used are BasicGrey "Wassail", love these, so vintage looking.

The image is from an Inkadinkado stamp I bought recently in a sale.  I stamped the image with Vintage Photo distress ink.

The twine is some East of India paper string which I plaited and then inked with Vintage Photo distress ink.  The bells are from e-bay

The snowflakes are by Maya Road and I covered them in Glitter Ritz fine glitter "Stardust".  Wow,  have never seen glitter so fine, its like dust and really does sparkle in real life !

The holly leaves are from a new set of dies "Dee's Distinctively" called "Wreath Builder".  I do hope to make a wreath for a card someday !!

The die cut the sentiment is on is a new set by MFT called "Flags and Tags"

Simon Says - Thinking of You/Sympathy

I'm back ! 

We went off to Milton Keynes last week in our caravan as it was half term. What a place ! We felt like real country bumpkins there ! Way different to what we are used to ! It had a real "buzz" about it especially in the evenings. It also looked like you could do anything you wanted too, dry ski slope, even indoor skydiving but the hubster wasn't too keen to try either of these !!! 

 There is a camping/caravan club site next to a theme park called "Gullivers" which the girls thoroughly enjoyed. It's a bit tame, nothing like Thorpe Park or Alton Towers but just right for Izzy who is only 5 and not too tame for a big 11 year old !!!

It was freezing cold there, we definitely noticed a different in temperature too but there again, when we returned at the weekend it started snowing and some of the roads in nearby Bradford on Avon and Bath were closed due to having 3' of snow on them !

Anyway, time for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge !

I have been inspired recently by cards made with the negatives of die-cuts and so I wanted to give it a try and this challenge was perfect for it.
