Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Triangles !

It's Wednesday and

Yes, we have a new challenge over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge !

The theme this week is

TRIANGLES
This can be triangular shaped cards/creations, triangular shaped element i.e. banner or paper with triangle embossed, printed or masked design - we look forward to seeing your interpretations !

The DT are this week showcasing The Crafters Workshop products

As always Heidi will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store !

Simon Says Stamp

I got all messy this week and used some distress inks with the Crafters Workshop Mini Triangle Plaid mask.  I then sprayed the mask with some Cranberry Zing Glimmer Mist and then some Pearl Glimmer Mist to give the whole card a "shimmer"

I just love this Simon Says Stamp Exclusives banner die too - its very clever !

I hope you have been inspired and we look forward to seeing all your triangular creations !

As always, you can see links of everything I used for this card below.

Hope you have a great day and thank's for your visit !

Sent with Love

I've been having a little play with some glimmer mist and the Simon Says Stamp Morning Glory Vine and Flower die. It was a little fiddly carefully placing the little pieces back into the negative of the die cut but it worked !

I found this amazing tool in the Simon Says Stamp Store - a Quickstik.  One end of it looks like a pencil and it contains this sticky, rubbery bit that will pick up small things i.e. pieces of paper, gems, pearls etc. etc.  Its sticky enough to pick them up but not too sticky that it keeps firm hold of them !  Used with the handy little tool at the back which you can use as a poker and picker, its great !  You can find a link to it below !

So, I used the die cut as a stencil and sprayed with Old Lace Glimmer Mist.  I then dripped some Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist on the rest of the card.  I then stamped the sentiment.

I made a co-ordinating envelope from the Simon Says Stamp envelope die and lined the inside with some Basic Grey paper I had left over from a project.  I ran enough paper through on the die so as to line only the part of the envelope you can see !  A great way of using up those scraps you have left
over  !!

Here's a close up of the card :

Thank's for your visit and have a great day !

Hi to a New Toy !

I have a new toy to play with ! Just look at this baby !

I have been struggling for what seems like forever to take a decent photograph, I have tried everything. I even thought that buying a really good camera would do the trick but sadly not, not until of course I discovered (with the help of two blogging buddies Joy Taylor and Debby Hughes) this baby !!

Wow, I was truly amazed at the instant results !!

In celebration, I just had to make a card this morning and take photos of it !  I'm still learning about the different settings on the camera but I am determined to learn and finally feel happy.

Anyway, here's my first proper attempt :

Finally I have whites that don't look like dirty washing !

I am entering my card into the following challenges :

ABC Challenge - S for stitching

Ladybug Crafts - Something Floral

Alphabet Challenge Blog - M for Micro/Mini (this card is 4" x 4")

Thank's for your visit and I hope you have a terrific Saturday !
