Autumn Leaves

Wow, this month is rushing by ! I've had my head down working on a magazine commission for January's edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine which I loved doing ! It was completely different for me and I was using papers and stamps I wouldn't normally go for. 

So, with the commission finished, I had a look around at a challenge I could take part in and found the Clearly Besotted Challenge which is an Autumnal colour palette.

I have recently purchased lots of Clearly Besotted Stamps so this was the perfect challenge !

I just love these Autumn Flowers stamps and dies.  I used the Clearly Besotted Background Builder II stamp set and stamped the woodgrain background in Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

Right, off in hunt of some lunch, I'm starving !

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Use a Rubber or Clear Stamp !

I just love these stamps and matching dies by Clearly Besotted.  These ones are "Home Sweet Home".  I used foam tabs on everything to give it dimension !  I can't find the dies in stock over at Simon Says Stamp at the moment but I am sure they will be coming in shortly with their next delivery of Clearly Besotted's !!

I took inspiration from the sketch over at Clean and Simple but I put my sentiment in a different place, not having room in the circle !  Wonder if I can be a rebel and enter my card anyway seeing as its just for fun ?!

A bit of grunge !

It was my Dad's Birthday last week so I had to get my thinking cap on and make a male card !  Why do we get so scared at the thought of "male" cards ?!!  

I have made a couple of purchases from Stampin Up recently, one of them being the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set which is just amazing !  Oh, I had such fun making this card !  Having "splat" stamps is just great !

I love these Wplus9 tie dies too - just perfect !

BasicGrey Challenges - Shaped Cards

Welcome to another BasicGrey Challenges ! 

 Thank you all so much for entering our photo inspiration challenge, we had lots of fabby entries. 

 This week our challenge is "Shaped Cards"

We want to see all sorts of shapes except square or rectangles !

We have, of course, a super duper prize of a $25 spending spree in the Simon Says Stamp Store for one lucky winner !

Don't forget though that you need to use at least one BasicGrey product in your creation otherwise you won't be eligible to win that prize !

 

For my card I used the gorgeous BasicGrey "Wassail" 6x6 papers which I adore.  Sadly I don't think you can buy them any longer so I am keeping my scraps for a later date inside the pad !!  You never know when you might need them especially for a card like this one when you only need a small amount of patterned paper !

The embossing folder I used is an old Cuttlebug one I found in the bottom of my Christmas box.  It's called "Christmas Ornaments".

I added lots of Diamond Stickles to the card too for a bit of Christmas bling !

I have also used a couple of the new Holiday Release dies from Simon Says Stamp - did I tell you how amazing these are ?  You can see the whole new release on my post from yesterday with links so you can fill your shopping bags without moving anywhere ! ROFL !!!
