Ski's teacher is getting married this Summer and she is so excited ! I know we usually get excited when we are getting married but I have never seen anyone this excited before - I wonder if she knows what is to come ;o) !!!!!
I decided this was the time to get my teeth into making a wedding card. I've only ever made one wedding card before and that was for two ladies so not your traditional type ! This one I would say is very traditional.
I took my inspiration from Eileen's blog -
Ikki's Cuttlebug Cupboard She does the most amazing things with a Cuttlebug !
Here is my card :
I used linen look card from The Papermillshop and embossed it with my score board and the D'vine Swirls folder on my bug.
The hearts were cut from nesties.
The lettering was cut on my Cricut and I very lightly sprayed the lettering with silver glimmer mist.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft tied with ribbon from my stash.
The sentiment is a Melissa Frances transfer.
Now this card is too big to go in an envelope so after having step by step instructions via MSN from my buddy Lorraine who is an expert box maker, I made this ! :
The box is made from the same card. I covered the lid with some vellum which has quite large pieces of glitter in it, such a shame you can't see it in the photo because it looks gorgeous. The vellum is also from the Papermillshop.
The hearts and lettering are the same as the card and I also sprayed the letters with silver glimmer mist.
The pearls are from my stash.
The ribbons are from my local market.
I lined the inside of the box with handmade paper with rose petals and grassy leaves in it which I found in Tesco.
I am so pleased with how this turned out and I hope she likes it !! I love the simplicity and clean look of the white, silver and pale pink.
I didn't really decorate the inside of the card. I just lined it with good quality white paper and punched the bottom edges with my MS valentine heart punch.

Talking of teachers and schools, I just wanted to tell you what proud parents we both are. Ski came home yesterday with her school report and results of her Year 2 SATS tests that she did in May. In every single subject she achieved a level 3 which is over and above what she should be getting at age 7 and her report was absolutely flawless, not a bad word in it (a far cry from when I was 7 years old !!!).
Our hearts are bursting with pride, what an amazing daughter we have, we are so proud and just adore her - well done !
I hope you have a good weekend and please let the sun shine - I'm fed up of the rain now and it is so dark ! I had terrible trouble taking these photos and I have waited a couple of days now to take some photos and gave up in the end waiting for the sun to come out !!
Take care and thank you for visiting and for all your lovely, lovely comments, they all mean so much to me.
