Magnolia Wedding

I hope that you are enjoying your Bank holiday and had a super, duper Easter weekend ? We had a lovely day yesterday, lots of laughing, joking, egg hunts, chocolate and nibbles and we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing day and to make things even better, the sun was out (although it was very cold).

I made this card just after I got back from the NEC as I used the new wedding stamps. I just needed to finish the back of it and add some wording before I send it off. It's not actually a proper card, its a sheet of A5 card so it has no fold. That was the requirement. I've received a number of cards like this myself and they are great. The only down side is that they don't stand up on their own, obviously !
Enough waffling......

The DP's are a gorgeous silvery, grey colour and are glittered. They are Best Creation Inc "Mr & Mrs" and I bought them from The Hobby House stand at the NEC. I think I might buy some more of these to keep in my stash "just in case" !

The image is Tilda and Edwin by Magnolia. These two stamps are sold separately although they do have a Tilda and Edwin bride and groom stamp (if you know what I mean !!). I just loved Tilda's bouquet on this stamp.

I decided to try my hand at distress ink painting for this card and don't think I did a bad job although the skin needs more practice !

I inked the edges of the image with antique linen distress ink and then stamped a flourish stamp around the edge and then added some gold stickles. I also added stickles to Tilda's crown and flowers.

The "Day to Remember" stamp is by Cats Life Press and this has been stamped in walnut stain distress ink.

The flowers are all from my stash.

I made the scrolls of paper and tied them with some raffia.

I loved making this card. Just a shame I don't get to make them very often !

I'm now off to watch a DVD with the others and tuck into some popcorn !

Thank you for your visit and for any comments you may leave. I am so grateful to you.
