BasicGrey Challenges - A Recipe
"For this fortnights Challenge we would like you to use the following Recipe :)
You can have as many plain matting papers as you wish, just as long as there are 3 patterned papers)
1-2 Images and/or 1-2 Sentiments
Don't forget though, to be eligible to win the fab prize for this challenge you MUST use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation, it would also be helpful if you could state on your post what that item is, makes it easier for us you see :)"
My four embellies are the ribbon, bell, pearls and punched holly.
The three patterned papers I used are a mixture of Jovial and Eskimo Kisses.
The image is the gorgeous Lil Christmas Evie by Tickled Pink Stamps. I just love their quirky images and this is the first one I have bought. I thought perhaps hubby could have this card for his Christmas card this year to remind him of me ! hehehehe !!! (I don't think !!).
The sentiment is a ticket stamp by Whimsey Stamps and I stamped it onto a Tim Holtz ticket die.
I also used the snow flurries die for the red card. These on the edge dies are fantastic and so effective !
We hope you can join us this week in our challenge and we look forward to seeing all your amazing creations. The DT have awesome inspiration for you over on the challenge blog.
Take care and wrap up warm. We had a very disappointing very small sprinkling of snow this morning but boy, its freeeeeeezing !

Simon Says Challenge - Let it Snow !
Sorry about the photo for starters !!
The DP's are Echo Park "Wintertime", a gorgeous set of papers of not only rich warm colours but also whites and icy blues - yum !
The stamps I used are some old Magnolia stamps. The Snowman is called "Edwin's Snowman" and the verse is the words to "Frosty The Snowman". The colouring has been done with ProMarkers. I have added a good amount of icicle Stickles and also glamour dust for all the sparkly bits !
The white card border has been cut with Tim Holtz's snowflake border die. I have also added lots of glamour dust to the snowflakes.
The ribbon and button are from my stash.
We look forward to seeing all your Christmassy creations and hope you can join us in our challenge.
The rest of the DT's cards are just amazing - you must go over and have a look !
Take care and wrap up warm and thank's so much for your visit today.

Simon Says Challenge - Sparkle
The DP's are by Memory Box.
The image is a Whiff of Joy image. The swirls around the outside edge are also by Whiff of Joy.Simon Says Stamp has a great range of Whiff of Joy stamps including lots of Christmas ones. I added some picket fence stickles as snow and also dabbed some on the holly.
The holly was punched from a Martha Stewart Holly Punch. The berries are red wooden beads I found in my stash.
The sentiment is a Melissa Frances transfer. I see that you can also buy the same sentiment set in a set of clear stamps too which would be really handy. You can see the stamp set here.
The heat embossing is around the edge of the patterned paper. I inked the edges with Versamark ink and then heat embossed using gold embossing powder. It is so sparkly in real life !
There is a fantastic prize of a $25 shopping spree in the Simon Say Stamp Store for the lucky winner so I hope you can come and join us !
Thank you for your visit today and for any comments you may leave, they always mean so much.
Take care and be *sparkly* !

BasicGrey Challenges - Wings
Here we are with another BasicGrey Challenge for you. This fortnight, our challenge is WINGS. We would like to see you use wings on your card in the form of angels, butterflies, dragonflies, birds, anything with wings ! Please also remember you do have to use at least one BasicGrey product on your card.
The DP's are a mixture of Capella and Wassail. The bunting has been made from a sheet of Wassail which is conveniently in triangle shapes ! I just had to attach them to the string and stick them to the card !!
The image is a gorgeous Hanglar I finally managed to get my hands on through e-bay (thank's Rach !). She has been coloured with ProMarkers. The sentiment is from a set by Waltzingmouse Stamps.
The lace is from my stash.
The vintage mistletoe is by Prima and the other flowers are from my stash.
I have edged some of the papers with Platinum stickles which are lovely and vintagey.
Sorry about the bad photo, it is so dark here at the moment with all these storms. The electric lights have been on all day long recently.
There is a fantastic prize of a $25 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp for the lucky winner !
The rest of the DT's cards are just gorgeous, you must hop over to the BasicGrey Challenge Blog to look at them and join us in our challenge.

Simon Says Challenge - Prince Charming
I hope you all had a great weekend and for those of you who went to the NEC, an amazing weekend ! I went on Saturday and met up with all my wonderful friends there and was thrilled to meet Mina, Crafty Lou, Andie and Dena for the first time. Dena came all the way from Texas ! I did take a couple of photos but have no idea how to get them off my phone ! I know Heather took lots so I'll see if I can pinch some from her to put on here.
Well, this week's challenge over at Simon Says Challenge is Prince Charming. We would like to see any project made for a male and it must include a charm on it - simples !!
There is a $25 shopping spree for the lucky winner around the Simon Says Stamp Store.
We are again joined by our Guest DT DawnyP who has also agreed to say on an extra week.
The fella I chose for my card is of course male and is absolutely full of charm !!
Yes, it's one of the Whiff of Joy Santa's from last year ! This one is called "Baking Santa". I just love him to bits - have you seen those slippers ! hehehe !! He has been coloured with ProMarkers and I stamped the new Magnolia holly swirl stamp around the outside edge in Antique Linen distress ink.
The DP's are a mixture of Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather and Magnolia paper from last year.
The ribbon and sleigh charm are from my stash.
The label is from an Inkadinkado set called "Christmas Tag Wishes".
We look forward to seeing all your Prince Charming projects !!
Thank you for your visit and for any comments you may leave, they are always appreciated.
Hope you have a great week !
I am also entering my card in Whiff of Joy Challenges as their theme is "Christmas Card".
