BasicGrey Challenges - 1, 2, 3 Recipe

Welcome to another BasicGrey Challenges ! This week we have a 1, 2, 3 recipe for you ! (1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellies).  All you have to do is remember that at least one item must be a BasicGrey product.

The DP's I used are BasicGrey "Wander" 

The tag was created using MFT "Tag You're It" stamp and die set and also the MFT "You Move Me" stamp and die set.  I stamped the notebook page from the MFT stamp set "Four Point Frame" stamp and die set and used the MFT notebook edge die-namics along the edge.

The three embellies I used are the mini paperclip, twine and buttons (one of which is BasicGrey !)

La La Land Crafts - Inspiration Friday - NEW RELEASE SHOWCASE!

Happy Friday ! I have something really special to share with you today ! 

The challenge this week over at La La Land Crafts is SOMETHING NEW !

Now this was a really easy challenge for the DT this week as we have a NEW RELEASE of La La Land Crafts images to play with !

The Design Team are showcasing 14 BRAND NEW stamps for our April release !  Check out the blog and see these beauties for yourself !

This fantastic NEW RELEASE image is called "TELEPHONE MARCI" and she comes with the two sentiments I have used.  She has been coloured with Copics.  A full list of the colours I used can be found on the La La Land Crafts Blog.

Simon Says Challenge - Anything Goes

Good morning on this horrible, wet, windy, cold, darn right yukky morning ! I suppose the upside is that its the perfect day to shut yourself away and craft !

So, the challenge today over at Simon Says Challenge is just perfect as you can enter as many cards as you can make today as it's ANYTHING GOES !!!

The Design Team are this week showcasing Paper Smooches Stamps.  If you have any of these stamps we would love to see them but if not, you can still play along.

We also have the lovely Kim Hughes, the designer of the lovely Paper Smooches range of stamps giving a 2nd lucky winner a choice of 2 stamp sets ! :-)

I just loved this challenge, Paper Smooches stamps are for very CAS cards, a difficult task I think for all of us and definately a challenge but the cards are just amazing.  Hop over to the challenge blog and take a look !

The papers are My Mind's Eye "Howdy Doody" and these have been machine stitched.

The Paper Smooches stamps I used are called "Fruitastic".  I stamped the peach onto "Howdy Doody" paper and then shaded with my Prismacolor pencils

Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch

Whoo hooo ! The sun is shining ! Makes such a change ! I know we desperately need the rain but I am fed up of it being cold, windy and wet !   Bring on the Summer (if we get one ! hehehe !).

Well, its that time again, time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly.

The image is by Lili of the Valley and is one of their new ones.  This one is called "Close Your Eyes".   The sentiment is also a Lili of the Valley stamp called "Greetings Postmarks"

The gem flourish I bought from The Hobby House when I went to the NEC - love it !

The pearls, lace and flowers are all from my stash.

La La Land Crafts - Inspiration Friday - Frame It With a Window

Good morning !

Here we are again for another Inspiration Friday with La La Land Crafts.

This week our theme is "Frame It With A Window"

The DP's I used are again Echo Park "This and That" which I just love.  These have all been machine stitched.

I used Cheeky Monkey Marci and framed her in the large stamp which is a die from the MFT set "First Class Friend".  I coloured her with Copics and you can see a full list of the Copics I used on the La La Land Crafts Blog.

The letters are from my bargain bag from the NEC.  I coloured them with a black Copic and then added glossy accents.

The sentiment is from a Maya Road stamp set called "Spool Sentiments".  I again covered this in glossy accents.

Simon Says Challenge - Follow Dawny's Sketch !

Good morning !  How are we all today ?  

I've had a busy morning but one I have been looking forward to.  

I dropped the girls off at school and then had breakfast with the hubster before he went off to work, I bought a new saddle for my bike and then tested it out on a 3 mile ride !  3 miles is a long way for me, I can tell you !  I am desperately trying to lose some weight and I'm determined to exercise more.  I've lost 10lbs so far and already I am feeling the benefit and I'm raring to go !  The saddle seems to be working and I'm not as sore as I was the last time I went out on my old ropey one.  I asked the chap behind the counter in Halfords his advice on saddles as there were sooo many to choose from.  I did threaten him that if his advice turned out to be wrong I WOULD go back and show him the result !!!  Poor chap looked shocked !

Anyway, its that time again for another Simon Says Challenge.  This week our wonderful Dawny has given us a sketch to work with (I love Dawny's sketches !) and here it is :

The DP's I used are the gorgeous Echo Park "This and That" - oooh I've fallen in love again !

The stamps I used are Amercian Crafts Amy Tangerine Draft Clear Stamps Sketchbook and I've used them in different ways.  The little doily I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The metal corner embellie is from my stash and I also heat embossed that with white embossing powder as it was originally bright silver.

I also used the Martha Stewart Scallop Dot Edge Punch

Papertake Weekly - A Stitch in Time

Good evening !  Welcome to another Papertake Weekly Challenge !

This week our challenge is A STITCH IN TIME.

My bestie mate and teamie Lols sent me this super duper Hero Arts Stamp set (Sew Stylish) which arrived just in the nick of time for this challenge - worra hero !

The little sewing reel is from a little chipboard set by Maya Road called "Sew Cute Mini"

The flowers and pin are from my stash.

La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Unusual Hair Colour

Good evening !  Here I am sneaking in with my card for this week's La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday.  Gosh, its been a busy few days and I'm shattered !  My baby turned 5 yesterday and she was sooo excited !  We had a party for her friends and visitors coming and going all day.  Today we have spent the last day of holidays with friends down in the town park and were very lucky to have glorious sunshine all day.  A lovely way to end the school holidays.

Anyway, back to this weeks La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday.  This week our theme is "Unusual Hair Colour".

The DP's I used are Fancy Pants "It's The Little Things"

The image is La La Land Crafts "Super Cupcake Marci" and she has been coloured with Copics.  A full list of the colours I used can be found on the La La Land Crafts Blog.

The chipboard letters I found in a bargain box at the NEC.  I bought two bags for 20p each !  I'm not sure that all the letters of the alphabet are in them but hey, they are great for random words especially for 20p !  I coloured them with Copics and then added Glossy Accents.

Simon Says Challenge - April Showers Bring Spring Flowers

What a beautiful morning we have here in sunny Wiltshire !  All my tulips are up and I'm amazed I planted so many.  The sun is shining through them and its like a rainbow of colour.

This morning is just the image we had in mind when this week's challenge over at Simon Says Challenge was chosen.  "April Showers Bring Spring Flowers"

The DT are showcasing Bo Bunny and/or Basic Grey products for this challenge.  If you have any of these we would love to see them but if not, you can still come along and play !

I used the new Bo Bunny "Ambrosia" papers for my card.  I just love the 12x12 pack as it has a sheet of 12x12 in it that has card toppers and sentiment panels (I think this is what they must be called ?) and so you can make a card just using what is in the pack and add embellies to co-ordinate and Bo Bunny have some gorgeous trinkets and brads to go with these papers.

The stamp I used for the sentiment is by Technique Tuesday and is called "Simply You by Ali Edwards"

The little flower is one of the trinkets from Bo Bunny

The flowers are some old Prima flowers I have had for a very long time. 

The pearl swirl is from my stash.

Papertake Weekly - April Showers

I hope you all had a great Easter break and didn't eat too much chocolate ?!!  We went away for the week in our caravan to Wareham and had a great time.  It was sooo good to be back on the open road again in our "van" and enjoy a bit of outdoor living.  Shame the weather wasn't as good as the previous week but hey, we can't have it all, can we.

Anyway, I'm back now to making cards and its time again for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly.

This week our theme is "April Showers" so we would like you to show or interpret water in your creation whether it be raindrops, the sea etc. etc.

Tis a tad chilly for surfing yet but I thought I could get ahead and make a Summery boys card for all those Summer birthdays coming up !
