Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch

Good morning ! Look's like we are in for another cracker of a day today ! 

The girls and I had a lovely day yesterday spent in the park with a picnic. I had forgotten that the park we went to had a paddling pool there and I was amazed to see that the Council have spent some money on it and repaired it and painted it. It looks lovely. The girls had a splashing good time in it ! Not sure what we are up to yet, will take it as it comes today. Back to school tomorrow :(

BasicGrey Challenges - Your Favourite Colour Combo

Good morning ! I hope you are all fine and dandy and ready to enjoy the weekend. I'm hoping and praying it stays dry, the girls are off on TD days on Monday and Tuesday and it would be nice to get out and about without being soaked !

It's time for another challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges.  Our challenge this time round is "Your Favourite Colour Combo".  Just remember that you do need to use at least one BasicGrey product in your project to qualify for our prize which is a $25 spending spree in the Simon Says Stamp Store !

I'm just loving the unusual colour combos that are being put together lately.  I love the new "What's Up" collection by BasicGrey and that has some unusual colour combos in it which really do work !

Simon Says Challenge - Anything But a Card

What a beautiful day ! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and its just gorgeous out there !

It is that time of week again for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge !

Before I tell you about this week's challenge we would like to welcome our new Design Team members who are also joining us for this challenge !  You can see their stunning creations on the Simon Says Challenge Blog.

So, this week's theme is ANYTHING BUT A CARD !  The Design Team are this week featuring Maya Road and Graphic 45 products.  As always, if you have any of these products we would love to see you use them but if not, you can still join in the fun !!

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

This little tin started out life as a travel sweet tin which I found in my stash of things for altering.

I covered it with the DP and then heat embossed the edge of the lid with white embossing powder but wasn't too worried about evenly covering it to give it that "aged" look.  I do like this effect as the embossing powder looks like enamel.

The buttons I made myself !  I bought some self covering buttons and some material and this little plastic gadget which hey presto ! presses the button, material and button back together.

Edited to say :  Sorry, I forgot to mention what I used on the dress form !  I applied some gold gilding flakes to it !  I could not find any gilding flakes in the Simon Says Stamp Store but I did find some gold leaf which I would imagine is nearly the same thing.

Papertake Weekly - Bingo !

Hello ! It's that time again for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly !

I decided to have a go and make a CAS card for this challenge - why do they always take longer than the cards you usually make ?!!

Simon Says Challenge - Diamond Jubilee Special !

Good morning and welcome to another Simon Says Challenge ! 

This week our challenge is all about the Diamond Jubilee and we would like to see you inspired by Royalty/bling/crowns/gems etc. etc. !

The little crown is by Maya Road and I have coloured it with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.  I just love this pen, the gold is amazing.

La La Land Crafts - Inspiration Friday - Inspired by a Fairytale

Good morning ! Welcome to another La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday ! 

Unfortunately this will be my last DT card for La La Land Crafts.  I have loved working with such a talented group of ladies and I shall miss you all and working with such fabulous images on a regular basis.  I am hoping that with the Summer holidays coming up I might have find more time to spend with my girlies as at the moment my time is being spread very thinly indeed !  Wishing LLLC every success at the upcoming CHA show !
