Simon Says Challenge - What's Your Favourite ?

Simon Says Stamp

Good afternoon ! I hope you are all well and had a great weekend ?

I have been busy this morning wrapping presents and writing cards all ready for delivering and posting.  The girls are having a Christmas lunch at school today and were so excited to be having a hot school dinner and with party hats too !!

Did you see that today is 12/12/12 ?  Last time we will see one of those !

Well, it's Wednesday and that can only mean one thing...... it is that time again for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who joined in last week with our last challenge.  We had lots of super entries.

This week our challenge is

What's Your Favourite ?

Tool, Stamp, Product ?

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

Now, I have a few faves on here !

My favourite tool by far is my Big Shot !  I love it and just couldn't do without it.

You will also have guessed by now that I LOVE MFT products, their stamps, their die-namics, love, love, love them !  On this card I used the "You Move Me" set of stamps and die-namics and the "Lead the Way" die-namics

I have also fallen in love with the papers from Simple Stories.  This one is called "Awesome".  I love the fact that in a 6x6 pad not only do you get the gorgeous papers but also sheets at the back with borders on them you can cut out, journalling sheets and decorative squares and rectangles you can cut out and use either on the front of the card or on the inside.  You could of course just use the whole sheets but I just love the versatility of these pads.

The twine I used is by Hemptique and this is a metallic version and looks cool !

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week and look forward to seeing you.

Thank you so much for visit.  I hope you have a great Wednesday !

BasicGrey Challenges - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas !

Good afternoon ! It's that time again for another challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges !

This fortnight we are getting into the Christmas spirit as "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" !!

Just remember you do need to use at least one Basic Grey product to qualify for our prize.

We are being sponsored by the fantastic Simon Says Stamp !

The lucky winner will win a $25 spending spree in their store ! All details can of course be found on the BasicGrey Challenge Blog !

I'm trying my best to make a few simple cards for sending to friends and family and also a couple of cards I can put money into for presents.

For this card I found a seed packet template online and just cut the top flap off and punched the top with a circular punch.  I shall slip some money into this later !

The DP's I used are Basic Grey Nordic Holiday.

I have been trying to resist the new MFT stamps and die-namics but the urge was too strong and I gave in and ordered the Stitched Stockings and Stocking Trio die-namics the other day !  I must say, I am so pleased now I gave into my cravings !  The stockings have bee stamped with Brilliance Rocket Red and Brilliance Galaxy Gold.

I also used the new Beautiful Bows die-namics from MFT for the bow at the top (another one I couldn't resist !!).

The sentiment is from the Stitched Stockings stamp set.

The raffia I bought at the school fair yesterday from a lady who had a Pheonix Trading stand.  This raffia comes out of the tub in 5 different colour strands and looks lovely in real life.

We hope you can join us in our challenge and we look forward to seeing all your Christmassy creations !

I am entering my card into the following challenges

CAS-ual Fridays - Knot or Knots (the raffia is knotted at each end !)

Jingle Belles- Anything (Holiday) Goes

Paper Play - Christmas Is Coming

Thank you so much for your visit and I hope to see you again soon.

Have a great Saturday !

Good afternoon ! I hope you are all well and had a great weekend ?

Brrr its so cold at the moment, it wasn't a pleasant walk to school this morning.  I see from the news that a lot of you have snow !  Enjoy !

Well, it's Wednesday and that can only mean one thing...... it is that time again for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge.

This week our challenge is

SNOWFLAKES !

The Design Team are this week showcasing Glitter Ritz products.  I am sure you all know the drill by now about showcasing, we would love to see you use any Glitter Ritz products if you have any but, its not compulsory for this challenge !

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

The Glitter Ritz product I used for my card is the opaque micro fine glitter "Stardust"  This glitter is amazing, I love it  !  I read somewhere (not sure where now !) that you have to burnish this glitter so that it twinkles and shines.  So, getting rubbing with your finger and watch it shine !

To make the background I used a Tsukineko glue pad and stamped the card with snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Frosties"

The image I used is by Lawn Fawn "Winter Bunny".   I paper pieced his scarf with My Mind's Eye "Winter Wonderland".  I also used the dotty paper from this pad for the background and added some glitter snowflakes to that too.  For the "snow" I tore up pieces of white paper and added some of the glitter to the peaks.  The image has been layered onto kraft cut with Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week and look forward to seeing you.

Thank you so much for visit.  I hope you have a great Wednesday !

Owl Have a Lovely Christmas !

Good morning ! I hope you all had a super weekend ?

We put up our Christmas decs this weekend. I don't think I've ever done it all so early ! The hubster is working now every weekend up until Christmas and seeing as we love putting them up as a family, this was the only time we could do it. I must admit, I do love them and its so cosy at night time with the lights on and candles burning.

Here's a piccie of them that Hubs took.

Just a shame we hadn't lit the fire !

I'm here with something a little different today.  I was lucky enough to win this super Christmas Owl Kit from the lovely Emma at Sew Sweet.  I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed making up this kit and it was so easy to do !  I am not expert at sewing, quite the opposite actually but Emma has done a super job in her templates and step by step instructions, I can highly recommend it, even for children.

Anyway, here is the end result.  They are proudly hanging in my lounge !

Aren't they cute ?!!

So, if you fancy making some of these cuties then head over to Sew Sweet and you can find them HERE !   Emma also has some other Christmas kits available too HERE !

Thank you so much for your visit today - it was lovely to see you !

Have a great day and I'll be back soon !

Simon Says - Thinking of You/Sympathy

Simon Says Stamp

I'm back !

We went off to Milton Keynes last week in our caravan as it was half term. What a place ! We felt like real country bumpkins there ! Way different to what we are used to ! It had a real "buzz" about it especially in the evenings. It also looked like you could do anything you wanted too, dry ski slope, even indoor skydiving but the hubster wasn't too keen to try either of these !!!

There is a camping/caravan club site next to a theme park called "Gullivers" which the girls thoroughly enjoyed. It's a bit tame, nothing like Thorpe Park or Alton Towers but just right for Izzy who is only 5 and not too tame for a big 11 year old !!!

It was freezing cold there, we definitely noticed a different in temperature too but there again, when we returned at the weekend it started snowing and some of the roads in nearby Bradford on Avon and Bath were closed due to having 3' of snow on them !

Anyway, time for another challenge over at Simon Says Challenge !

We look forward to seeing all your  creations !  The DT have made some amazing cards this week for your inspiration.

I have been inspired recently by cards made with the negatives of die-cuts and so I wanted to give it a try and this challenge was perfect for it.

The ribbon is from my stash.

Thank's so much for your visit !

I have added some of my cards to my e-bay page and also to my store in Etsy !

Have a great day !
