BasicGrey Challenge #16

For the first challenge of 2009 on the BasicGrey Challenge Blog, we thought we would start with a sketch. Martine has drawn this fantastic sketch for us to play with. Feel free to resize or flip the sketch, just as long as the original sketch can be seen in your creation you are good to go, and of course not forgetting to use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere in your creation :)

I am sure that you will all love working with this sketch as much as I did. This is the card that I made :

The brown paper is some K and Co paper which I stamped with some K and Co florishes in Brilliance coffee bean ink.

The pink papers are BasicGrey Euphoria and I stamped the light pink paper with a text stamp from Prima in antique linen distress ink. I added some liquid pearls too.

The image is of course from the gorgeous new range of Sugar Nellie stamps by Leanne Ellis. I adore these stamps and they are so lovely to colour. I have used distress inks and stamped the image in Brilliance coffee bean ink which isn't the best ink to use because I found it smudged and ran when I painted the image and rubbed the card with the distress ink. I must get my hands on some Versafine Sepia ink as I love stamping in brown ink, it isn't as harsh as black. I also added some glossy accents to the little hearts.

The flower is a Prima flower and Hero Arts flower with a spacer and brad from my stash.

The brown and pink ribbons, the charm and the frame that surrounds the sentiment are from my stash.

I'm looking forward to getting back to some serious blog hopping and I look forward to seeing your take on the sketch.

We also have a new Guest Designer for January and February so please be upstanding for the very talented TARA ! Tara has a fantastic blog and she is another very talented lady who you must go and visit and believe me, you won't be disappointed ! Welcome to the team Tara, I hope you will be very happy with us.
