La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Wild Child !

Good morning and thank goodness it's Friday !  The Easter holidays have started for us, the kiddlies are at home and already enjoying the break from school.  Both girls are in a dancing show this week with their dancing school.  They are putting on a performance of "Peter Pan".  Mollie has 4 more shows to perform in and Izzy has another 2 so they were looking forward to the lie in this morning !

Well, it's that time again for La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday and this week our theme is "Wild Child".

Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch

What a beautiful day again today !  So warm and sunny !  Let's hope it lasts for the Easter holidays.

Well, I had a fantastic time on Saturday at the NEC meeting up with lots and lots of my gorgeous friends.  I was so excited to finally meet Sandie who I speak to most days than not on MSN ! and also Heather and Kim Costello.  We had a fabulous time and can't wait to do it all over again in November.  Start saving those pennies now !!

I spent far too much money as you do but I am very pleased with my new goodies and couldn't wait to start using them and my first DT card to do was for Papertake Weekly.

 I bought from the Hobby House stamp some paper bags. At the time I didn't know what I would use them for but an idea sprang to mind when I saw this simple sketch.

The DP's are BasicGrey "Piccadilly" which are lovely and very "Spring"

The image is by Lili of the Valley and is called "Easter Sweeties".  This has been coloured with Copics and ProMarkers on the new Ranger/Tim Holtz speciality stamping card which I must say gets a bit of getting used to !  Perhaps its different if you use his markers, I am yet to find out !

The stamps I used are Magnolia "Tilda Goes Shopping" and "Magnolia Boutique".  These have both been coloured with Copics.  I haven't used a Magnolia stamp for a very long time but I must say, I really enjoyed colouring these two up.  I have had them for ages and ages and were still unopened before today *blush* !

I also used the Magnolia Heart Swirl Doohickey die behind the flowers.

Simon Says Challenge - A Bit 'O Green !!

Here we are, Wednesday again and time for another Simon Says Challenge !

This week we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day which is on Saturday !  The Design Team are this week showcasing Hero Arts products !

I took inspiration for my card from my very good friend Kim Costello who had an article in the current Craft Stamper Magazine.  Kim reminded me that I had the Hero Arts stamps she had used in my ever growing collection !  I used the free stamp that came with the magazine too, that is the one with the rabbits on it !

The alphabet stamps I used are some old Hero Arts ones which must have been replaced by these ones which are very similar.

Papertake Weekly - For The Girls

It's Tuesday again !  I won't bore you with the details of how busy I have been as I say it everytime !  Still, at least it keeps me from being bored !  

Something that is exciting for me though, I have been making lots of cards for a forthcoming issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine and the goodies I have been given to work with have been sooo scrummy !  I can't wait to see it in print !  Only a couple more months to wait.... !  The latest issue landed on my doorstep yesterday morning and yet again, its very inspiring, the Designers have done a terrific job for you again.  It should be on sale in the shops in the next few days.

Right, onto this week's challenge over at Papertake Weekly.  This week our challenge is "For The Girls" (or Mum seeing as it's Mother's Day this coming Sunday !).

The DP's are a sheet I have had for a very long time.  Like a lot of you I have so much paper that I never use and its such a shame so I dug deep to try and use at least one sheet of it !  This is My Mind's Eye "29th Street Market" Carefree "Graceful"

The image is one of the new Stamping Bella Uptown Girl stamps and this one is called "Posh Has a Present".  She has been coloured with a mix of Copics and Prisma pencils.

Everything else is from my stash.  The brad on the ribbon is actually a very deep purple colour, its gorgeous in real life.  Shame the photo didnt pick up the lovely colour of it.

Thank Crunchie it's Friday !  It's always a good feeling when you hit Friday !  Do you have plans for the weekend ?  I can't say I have great plans for this weekend, the hubster is working as usual but it will be nice to have the girls at home with me and we can spend some time doing girlie things together !

It's Inspiration Friday over at La La Land Crafts and this week our theme is "One For the Boys".

The DP's are the new ones by Kaisercraft called "Technologic".  These are a great mix of papers with different textures and looks too.  Just love 'em for boys cards, young or old.

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes with an Optional Extra !

Good morning ! Very wet, yuk and drizzly here this morning :(  Such a shame after such a beautiful day yesterday.

I am sorry I am late with my post.  I have a very good excuse this time !  I was in London all day yesterday visiting my fantastic friend Lols !  Lols is over here visiting family and has managed to meet up with some friends too.  We had a wonderful day, didn't stop talking all day and had the most delicious lunch !  A brilliant day !

Anyway, there is a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly and this week our theme is "ANYTHING GOES".  We have an optional extra which goes with this challenge and it is TO USE SHRINK PLASTIC !  Unfortunately, when I came to find my shrink plastic I found that my girls had used it all and I had forgotten to replace it.  Never mind, you can see from some of the other fabulous DT girls how they have used it.

The DP's I used are BasicGrey "Lemonade" and these have all been machine stitched.

La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Tag It !

I am so sorry I am so late with this week's Inspiration Friday.   I came to do the post on my blog and found that my blog was all over the place :(  The sidebar was at the bottom and it looked a complete mess.  I've had this before and managed to fix it but it took me ages last night and I had no idea how to fix it this time.  I just altered the size of some photos and this did seem to fix it so keep fingers crossed this post doesn't mess it up again.
